about Mr. Marquez

I look forward to learning about each of you as we spend time together throughout the school year.  I'll tell you a few things about me. This is my 9th year at King and my 17th year teaching.  I am married and have an 8th grade daughter.

Likes: comics (X-men, Deadpool, indie publishers, sci-fi, things with robots, in the future, or space)

            tv shows, especially animation (grew up on the Simpsons, but Bob's Burgers is current favorite).

                 comedies like How to with John Wilson, A Black Lady Sketch Show,

                 some competition reality shows like Great British Bake Off, Top Chef, RuPaul's Drag Race

                 some dramas like Reservation Dogs, The Crown, Dark Winds

            history (documentaries, PBS, books), lately been focused on Native American history. Currently reading "Killers of the Flower Moon", soon to be released as a film.

          

Dislikes: frozen yogurt, the phrase "I'm just saying", and the smell of crayons
