Welcome! This syllabus outlines some of the expectations and events in our leadership class.
Curriculum:
In this class we will emphasize the following themes:
- Character traits and values
- Strengths and weaknesses
- Working collaboratively with a variety of people
- Problem solving
- Goal setting
- Multiple decision-making processes
- Debate
- Public Speaking
In addition to classroom work, our leadership students are responsible for various fundraisers, assemblies, and school/district-wide projects dependent upon the semester.
Grading:
Our Leadership class will be graded in three areas:
- Participation
- Completion of classroom assignments/projects
- Completion of school/district-wide projects and responsibilities
Students will be given rubrics to show how the points will be distributed among the different areas.

Leadership students are held to a high standard of modeling good behavior King Middle School.If students cannot follow these expectations they may be placed in another elective.
