About Me:
I am Mrs. Doezema Rodriguez and I have been a teacher since 2007. I began teaching at King Middle School in the 2019-2020 school year. This school year I will be teaching 6th grade math.
I have taught English, history, math, science, elective, English Language Development, AVID, Visual and Performance Arts (VAPA) and all grade levels from 4th grade through 8th grade. Teaching all of these subjects and in different areas has further prepared me to work for students of different academic abilities and backgrounds.
In addition, I have also grown as an educator by obtaining multiple teaching credentials, a masters degree in education administration, and am a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT 2013-present).
I very much enjoy teaching, but I especially enjoy teaching middle school students. Middle school students are at a point in their lives where they need a lot of guidance. I think that middle school teachers are placed in a special position to guide students in the direction that will help them succeed. As a middle school teacher, I find that it is vital to be as honest and genuine as possible with students.
When I am not grading, creating lessons or making copies I like to go with my husband on backpacking/camping trips. We love to travel on our time off of work. We like to take our 16 year old Yorkie, Butters on walks around Los Angeles. At his age, he can still do a lot of the trek. I am an immigrant. I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and came to live in the U.S. in 1989. I have been an Angeleno ever since. I've run the Los Angeles Marathon in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Soy Mrs. Doezema Rodriguez y e enseñado desde el 2007. Empece a enseñar aquí en King Middle School en el año escolar 2019-2020. Este año escolar enseñaré matemáticas en 6to grado.
E enseñado Ingles, historia, matemáticas, ciencia, electivo, Aprendizaje de Ingles, AVID, Visual and Performance Arts (VAPA) y todos los niveles de grados desde 4to grado a 8vo grado. Enseñar todas estas materias y en diferentes areas me a preparado mucho mas al trabajar con estudiantes de diferentes habilidades académicas y historial.
Adicionalmente, también e crecido como educadora al obtener multiples credenciales de maestra, una maestría en administración educativa, y soy Certificada Nacionalmente (National Board Certified Teacher -NBCT).
Disfruto bastante enseñar, pero especialmente disfruto enseñar estudiantes de middle school. Estudiantes de middle school están en un punto de sus vidas donde necesitan mucha guianza. Yo creo que maestras/os de middle school son puestos en una posición especial de guiar estudiantes en la dirección que les ayudara a tener excito. Como maestra de middle school, yo encuentro que es vital ser honesta y lo autentica posible con mis estudiantes.
Cuando no estoy calificando, creando lecciones o haciendo copias, me gusta ir con mi esposo a campar. Llevamos a nuestro perrito, un Yorkie de 16 year años, Butters a caminar por Los Angeles. A su edad, nuestro perrito todavía puede caminar mucho. También, soy inmigrante. Nací en Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico y vine a vivir a los Estado Unidos en 1989. E sido Angeleno desde entonces. También corrí el Maratón de Los Angeles en 2022, 2023 y 2024.
