Social Studies/History (Period 4)

Sixth grade Social Studies focuses on Geography and Ancient History. As geographers, we will study how the land on which people live determines their lifestyles. As historians, we will study cultures of people who lived as long as 7,000 years ago.

We will explore the following groups of ancient people:

• Ancient Egyptians
• Ancient Kushites
• Ancient Israelites
• Ancient Chinese
• Ancient Indians
• Ancient Greeks
• Ancient Romans
