Many parents have asked how we are recording absences accrued during the strike. There is a way for the strike absences to be recorded as excused, however we will need a note.
If you have not already done so, please follow normal absence procedures by sending a note to the Attendance Office that includes the following: child’s full name, date of birth, date(s) of absence, and reason for absence. If a note is not submitted, absences will remain unexcused. Absences due to the strike will not impact graduation or any perfect attendance incentives/recognitions.
The dates of the strike were January 14 to 18 and January 22.
