Our very own King student, 7th grader Sarkis Gafafyan is part of the L.A. Dream team and on July 17, they won the Boys 6th Level 2 Division West Coast National Basketball Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada! With that remarkable accomplishment the team won the Gold Medal for the west coast national championship division. In 2017 Sarkis will prepare to compete in both the U.S. National AAU Championship held in Florida and Virginia, and the 2017 International AAU Junior Olympics!!! You can read the entire article here!

Sarkis and his team were also honored by Michael D. Antonovich and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for their accomplishment and also had the great opportunity to hang out with NBA superstars, Rookie of the Year- Karl Anthony Towns and Slam Dunk Champion Zach LaVine!
