The PE Department held its 5th Annual Turkey Trot on Wednesday November 21st during Periods 1 through 6. The students were encouraged to participate in the mile run to be eligible for a prize drawing held each period.
More than 15 prizes were awarded each period. In the past, we have had the drawings at lunch. This year the PE Department decided to hold the drawing at the end of each period. Our generous faculty and staff donated the prizes that were offered each period. Some of the prizes included gift cards to: Blockbuster, Circuit City, McDonald’s, Best Buy, Carl’s Jr, Jamba Juice, Vons, iTunes, Barnes and Nobles, Ralph’s, Tommy’s, and items such as back packs, soccer balls, hats, t-shirts.
We thank the following people for making our 5th Annual Turkey Trot a success: Mrs. Harada, Ms Rabina, Ms Fong, Ms Whitlock, Ms Figueroa-Calderon, Mrs. Pearson, Mrs. Baranich, Mrs. Cole, Mr. Cruver, Mr. Gutierrez, Ms Iwami, Mr. McDaniel, Mr. Sato, and Mrs. Sundberg.
