T.S. KING MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS' PROJECTS IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION DIGITAL VOICE COMPETITION

T.S. King Middle School Computer Animation class students Jazmin Maddela-Chan & Lucia Zezza, and Jacob Messex & Rafael Sanchez have been selected by the California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP) Region 11 and Multimedia Services of the Instructional Technology Outreach Division at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) as winners for the Digital Voice Award. Their projects, 'Bananas', and 'The Skater' will be in the running for the grand prize. What makes the win even more exciting is that our students were competing in the secondary category which placed them in direct competition with other high school students in schools throughout the county's many districts. The students were involved with writing their own original stories, designing their own characters, composing their own original music and ultimately, animating their stories using 3D software.

The 2010 Digital Voice Awards ceremony will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m, at Santa Monica High School in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. All members of the T.S. King Middle School Community are invited to attend the program. Space is limited, so RSVP as soon as possible at:
