The first annual Turkey Trot was held on Monday November 21st. As per the state standards the P.E. department is promoting the development of life time fitness as well as celebrating our Thanksgiving Holidays.
All students who ran a lap around the school were given tickets that made them eligible for the drawing to be held at lunch Tuesday, November 22nd in the amphitheatre. Parent volunteer, Mrs. Olga Measures, canvassed the community getting donations from Food for Less, Ralph's, In and Out Burger, Jamba Juice, Korner Grill, Baja Fresh, McDonald's and Best Buys. P.E. Teachers: Mrs. Bailey, Ms Iwami, Mr. Sato, Mr. Gutierrez, Mrs. Matsumura-Fukuyama, Mr. Cruver, Mr. Mc Daniel and Mrs. Sundberg donated turkeys. Several faculty members made monetary donations or gave prizes. Thank you Ms Ralph, Ms Orfalian, Mrs. Pearson and Mrs. Hirotsu. Thank you all for your generosity.
