Introduction

Hello! My name is Mr. Emmanuel Olmedilla and I am the Leadership teacher at Thomas Starr King Middle School. The elective class is comprised of 7th and 8th- grade students from all three magnets, who were selected based on their grades, teacher recommendations, and essay. The student officers were elected to their positions by the student body held in April.

I started teaching at King MS in 1995, and I consider myself lucky and blessed to be in this profession.
I hold a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry from Long Beach State University. I also hold a teaching credential in Biological Sciences and Health Sciences with a CLAD emphasis from National University.

I've taught Leadership at King MS since 1997, and I've enjoyed every minute of it! I've worked with so many talented, hardworking students throughout the years, and it's always exciting to meet new incoming students.
Congratulations to the students who made it because you are the Cream of the Crop, and I look forward to working with you this school year. Remember, even though we have a lot of responsibilities at school, our main goal is to boost student morale and school spirit through worthwhile activities and events!

My Expectations:
  • Academic Excellence – Be a student role model in all your classes!
  • Hard work & dedication in every activity/event!
  • Stay focused on the goal!
  • Have a positive attitude!
  • Have great initiative!
  • NO NEGATIVITY IN THE CLASSROOM!!!
