Hi everyone!

 

My name is Germani (pronounced like the country, but spelled differently) Yang.  I am a 6th grade Film & Media All-Starrs math teacher.  I'm super excited to be your teacher this upcoming school year!  This year in math we will be learning ratios and proportions, fractions, decimals, and percents, coordinate plane graphing, expressions and equations, area and volume, and basic statistics.

-I went to UCLA for my bachelors degree in math (go Bruins!) and Claremont Graduate University for my masters degree in math.  

-This is my 11th year as a teacher (this is my 8th year as a middle school teacher.  I've taught 3 years of high school before King MS.

 

-I played Animal Crossing this summer.  I love the game!

-I love Disneyland--I used to have an annual pass and would go every weekend.

-I love animals.  All animals in my family are rescued.  I rescued a dog right when everything closed down (March 2020)--his name is Reggie!  He's a mini pinscher mix (we believe).  My sister's dog also comes to visit a lot--her name is Juno and she's a boxer mix.  My mom's dog comes to visit a lot too--his name is Mickey and he's a chihuahua.

-I love building legos!

 

So many things are happening in the year 2020.  We will adjust accordingly and have an awesome school year!
