Film Workshop

This English elective course is designed to support the State Content Standards in English Language Arts as well as Media Arts .  Students will analyze films and film clips, then write, direct, shoot, and edit their own projects that reflect genres covered in class. The class requires writing and film-making using school issued iPads.  Students will learn to create and edit films and add soundtracks using iMovie, and create screenplays in Google Docs. Students will produce at least one project every quarter that showcases and demonstrates an advanced understanding of the current unit of study. Grades will be determined by students demonstrating mastery of standards based learning targets.
