Miss DeMunda was born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York. After graduating from the State University of New York College at Fredonia, with an Elementary Education degree, Miss DeMunda student taught Grade 4 in Swansea, Wales (U.K.) for the summer. Upon returning the the U.S., she substitute taught for a year where she got to teach every single subject and grade level. Her first "real" teaching job came in 2001, when Miss DeMunda took on the role of Literacy Teacher at Corner Lake Middle School in Orlando, Florida. She taught struggling readers in grades 6, 7, and 8 for two years, using the Read 180 program. In 2003, Thomas Starr King Middle School offerred Miss DeMunda a job as a 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. She accepted, and has been teaching at King ever since. Some of the best things about working at King for Miss DeMunda are being able to implement the 1-1 Technology program, the beautiful campus, and the awesome staff and students.

When Miss DeMunda, herself, was in Middle School, she participated in jazz, tap, ballet, baton twirling, gymnastics, soccer, playing the clarinet, and playing the piano. In High School, she was Class President, Captain of the soccer team, and a member of the Marching Band. In addition, Miss DeMunda was a Cheerleader, on the Ski Club, and competed on the Track and Field team in events such as the 110 hurdles, High Jump, Triple Jump, and Long Jump.

As an adult, Miss DeMunda has taken up several hobbies that compliment her teaching job. She has studied Hosting, Acting, Improv Comedy, and Journalism. In her free time, Miss DeMunda likes to travel (especially to Niagara Falls to see her big Italian family), go to concerts, cook, go shopping, watch movies, exercise (at the gym or hiking), go to the beach, and read.
